ENGLAND – In a decisive move to prove cover in attack following the departure of Andy Carroll, Liverpool have bought a Samsung model fridge freezer from Currys.
A fee of £1500 was agreed which will be paid in monthly instalments at 0% interest for the first six months and could rise to £2500 if Liverpool opt to take the extended warranty.
The signing continues the club’s proud tradition of acquiring the top line household appliances following a recent purchase of a new Sony plasma TV for the player’s lounge.
Big moves
Samsung fridge freezer passed a medical this morning and agreed personal terms which are thought to include wages of 460 kilowatt hours per year.
The Merseyside club fought off bids from Mr and Mrs Angus from Chelsea and a late one from a young couple from Abu Dhabi also in the market for a large immobile unit with an alright touch.
“This is great bit of business for this club,” said Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers.
“Both couples wanted Samsung fridge freezer and they put in decent bids, but in the end we were able to secure fridge freezer in time to beat the transfer deadline.”
It’s thought Samsung fridge freezer will bring added versatility as it can play upfront on its own, out wide, or in its favoured position between the cooker and kitchen sink.
Reports suggest they were priced out of the British model from Hotpoint and decided on the Korean import after receiving positive reports from the same scouting team that led to spending £35 million on Andy Carroll.
Deadline day deals
The new signing will wear the number RSH7ZNMH, which Rodgers explained was chosen for “production line allotment reasons”.
A spokesman for Fenway Sports Group said the acquisition demonstrated the continued ability of Liverpool find the right talent at the right price.
“He’s a big lad and will hold the line well for us. Obviously it’ a shame to lose Andy but make no mistake we’ve brought in a more than adequate replacement.”
“Plus it make ice cubes which is super convenient.”
Samsung fridge freezer is expected to go straight into the team for the game against Arsenal after meeting its new teammates in training today.
“The boys here have really taken to Samsung fridge freezer,” Rodgers describes. “Stevie G’s already put his tuna sandwiches in it.”
