Toyota Cuts Ties With Acme Corp

NEW YORK, NY – Toyota Motor Corp (NYSE:TYO) have ‘indefinitely’ suspended its partnership with Acme Corp (NYSE:ACME) after paying a record fine of $16.4 million for having ties with Acme Corp.

The Japanese car maker previously denied having any connection with the supplier of anvils and mini sticks of dynamite, but was forced to admit it’s business dealings after a string of recalls lead to an investigation over the source of the parts used to manufacture it’s vehicles.

“We made a mistake” admitted President Akio Toyoda “We will never outsource parts from a cartoon company again.”

Consumer Reports magazine have warned readers not to buy Toyota’s sports-utility vehicle due to fears they could spontaneously combust coming out of hard turns.

Acme, supplier of bird seed and skates with rockets attached, have reacted angrily to the implications made by Toyota.   A spokesman for the company was not available for comment after unexpectedly driving a Toyota 2010 model Lexus off a cliff in pursuit of an unidentified road runner.

However, this network was able to talk to a source close to the conglomerate who choose to remain off the record “F–k Toyota for trying to drag our name through the mud, not while I’m president.  They knew the parts come untested, That’s on them.  The warning’s on the damn crate for God’s sake!  This is off the record right?”

The Acme management reject claims they have been implicit in falling safety standards at Toyota and warn they are prepared to defend thier reputation in court.

They have also threatened to pull out of the vehicle industry all together and return to it’s core business of miniature explosives and paint the lets you pass through solid mountain rock.

Despite the controversy, Acme’s share price went up 15 percent on news of the split from Toyota.
