Dr Dre Gives Backing To Healthcare Reform

COMPTON, LA – Dr Dre, world renowned medical practitioner and part time music producer has come out in support of the healthcare reform bill signed into law by Barack Obama this week.  The doctor, a long time advocate for hard hitting west coast beats and the legalisation of marijuana, has welcomed this historic piece of legislation.  “Thank God this happened.  Covering these guys’ healthcare costs has been too much for me.”

The good doctor blamed the lack of progress on his forthcoming album ‘Detox’ on debilitating healthcare costs for his employees, among which are G-Unit head 50 Cent and Grammy awards winning artist Eminem.  “This guys got shot 9 times!  It sold albums sure but the medical bills cost me a fortune.  Don’t even get me started on Em, I’m just glad he’s back in the studio making me money, I mean making albums. On the real, speaking as an employer and a doctor, I can’t say how relieved I was to see Obama sign that bill.  It’s a good day for Dre.”

His comments have drawn much criticism from right wing opponents of healthcare reform, including Senetor Jon McCain.  “What does this guy know anyway?  I don’t think he’s even a real doctor, no one has seen his medical license!”.  However, as the bill makes it’s way to the senate, more have come out in support of including long time label mate Snoop ‘Doggy’ Dogg. “Yeah, yeah.  Now we just need to make that green legal and it’s all good.”

It still remains unclear whether Dre intends to release his album this decade or the next.
