Video games have long been used to corrupt our nations moral fibre but at this year’s E3 event in LA, games companies set their site higher and began actively recruiting for extremist cells across the globe. Like any other self respecting new network, MLNN holds a well deserved disdain for video games and so frown on events like E3 which are now attempting to turn our children to terrorism. Our correspondent is at the scene to warn us of the dangers to come out of this years event. One can only hope our warning signs are heeded before another tragedy occurs.
[Chief Editor] Sarah, how are you enjoying the show?
[Entertainment Correspondent] Err, great…just great.
[Chief Editor] What has been the biggest news to–
[Entertainment Correspondent] Enough with the interrogation OK! I didn’t go, the show was last week.
[Chief Editor] I’m confused?
[Entertainment Correspondent] I didn’t want to go cover some video games…I’m better than that!
[Chief Editor] So there’s no story?
[Entertainment Correspondent] Oh no, I have a story.
[Chief Editor] But you weren’t at the event?
[Entertainment Correspondent] I watched some youtube footage. What I found will shock you to your very core.
[Chief Editor] What could be so–
[Entertainment Correspondent] Your core!
[Chief Editor] I heard. What did you find?
[Entertainment Correspondent] Startling evidence that the games shown at E3 could be used by terrorists linked to recruit young children into the al–Qaedas.
[Chief Editor] How can you be sure? Have you validated these claims?
[Entertainment Correspondent] I watched at least…5 youtube clips, so I think I know what I’m talking about.
[Chief Editor] So this event was just a front for international terrorism?
[Entertainment Correspondent] That’s entirely possible. The minute longs clips I saw clearly showed terror scenarios that could be used by the al–Qaedas.
[Chief Editor] I can’t believe this is happening in our own country.
[Entertainment Correspondent] It’s happening. These games are continuously being targeted at our children, it was only a matter of time before terrorists used them against us…the signs were clear.
[Chief Editor] What signs?
[Entertainment Correspondent] The terrorist attacks, the numerous public shootings? These are all symptoms of the rise popularity of video games.
[Chief Editor] You’ve got a point, video games are directly responsible for these things. What are the latest examples that came out of E3?
[Entertainment Correspondent] Both Microsoft and Sony unleashed motion devices that will allow extremists to use their bodies as a weapon. The danger of such a game defies belief.
[Chief Editor] You saw this?
[Entertainment Correspondent] I didn’t have to. These video games are dangerous and must be stopped.
[Chief Editor] I agree. What else did you see?
[Entertainment Correspondent] Sony also demoed a new terrorist training simulator called M.A.G or Murderous Assault with Guns.
[Chief Editor] What exactly is this game about?
[Entertainment Correspondent] It simulates large scale assaults on US targets. The al–Qaedas have already forged deals to use the game in a number of cells already.
[Chief Editor] Are you saying that Sony and Microsoft are now working with the al–Qaedas?
[Entertainment Correspondent] That’s exactly what I’m saying.
[Chief Editor] And these games will be used to convert children into extremist militants for future attacks against this country?
[Entertainment Correspondent] …Yeah, why not.
[Chief Editor] This is…some damn fine investigative journalism. You were able to uncover the real story without even going to the event. Brilliant.
[Entertainment Correspondent] Just doing my job you know.
[Chief Editor] Let’s hope these video games are banned before more tragedies occur. Good work Sarah.
